Celebrate Eid Holidays with Bellissimo1861 @ Art Souq in Abu Dhabi

Speaking about Art Souq 2015 and Bellissimo’s participation, Khaled Seddiq Al Mutawaa, the founder of Etihad Modern Art Gallery said: “Bellissimo’s participation with their new innovative concept is considered a qualitative addition to Art Souq 2015. It is a great opportunity for the public to start building or adding to their art collections.”

Art Souq 2015 features a host of affordable sculptures in stone and bronze by many artists. For instance on display will be renowned Bulgarian sculptor Svilen Petrov’s sleek, ornamental figures, as well as mosaic. To mark the Holy Month of Ramadan, the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy and the culture of the UAE will be explored by the textual murals of Suhaila Abdulkareem, the mosaics of Hakem Al Taher, and the narrative symbolic art of Khaled Al Najjad and Yiannis Roussakis.

Etihad Modern Art Gallery in Abu Dhabi is showcasing the iconic collections of Bellissimo – the Italian Jewelry consortium that creates some of the world’s most prestigious pieces from July 12, 2015 as part of “Art Souq 2015”.

Bellissimo’s Jewelry was established in Italy in 1861 and is known for their outstanding high-quality precious stones, corals and pearl designs. Today, at the Art Souq 2015 in Abu Dhabi, they are showcasing an innovative concept that represents a blend between nature-inspired paintings and world-class stunning hand-made jewelry designs. Art and jewelry aficionados will be delighted to see the harmonious transformation of a painting into  remarkable high-quality jewelry designs.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I first saw the pieces. Looking at Bellissimo’s jewelry, I had the same feeling that I had when I looked at the colors and forms in the paintings. During the event, they will discuss with visitors the creation of their masterpieces and how Bellissimo transformed the paintings into innovative designs.

#Dubai has been ranked the fourth most popular travel destination in the world this year, according to a study by MasterCard. According to their annual travel study, ‘Global Destination Cities Index’, officials representing MasterCard were quoted as saying that Dubai is among the top 10 destinations for tourists in terms of total international overnight visitor arrivals and cross border spending. The global payments and Technology Company revealed that the study involved ranking 132 destination cities around the world, in which #London topped the list in 2015, followed by #Bangkok and #Paris. According to the study, Dubai is expected to receive almost 14.3 million international visitors this year, an increase of 8 per cent than the previous year.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ‪#‎UAE‬ Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of ‪#‎Dubai‬, visited the‪#‎ExpoMilano2015‬ on Wednesday. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed toured the exhibition where 121 countries are currently participating. HH Sheikh Mohammed visited the UAE’s pavilion, organised by the National Media Council, where a number of national institutions are taking part to promote the country’s achievements. Hh Sheikh Mohammed also watched an eight-minute long mini feature film, ‘the Family Tree’ which follows a young girl, Sara, as she learns the values and experiences of past generations. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed instructed the chairman and members of the Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Preparatory Committee to pay attention to any shortfalls in the organisation of the Expo Milano 2015 in order to learn for ‪#‎Expo2020‬ Dubai.
